1776 Partners with Westrum Development Company to Open their Newest Campus in Brewerytown

1776 Opens Incubator and Workspace in Mixed Use Development

(Philadelphia, PA, February 28th , 2019) –  Today, 1776 announced a new partnership with Westrum Development Company to incorporate an incubator and workspace into their newest development, The HUB@31 Brewerytown, in Philadelphia.  The integration of a flexible work-share environment within a mixed-use development is a new-to-portfolio concept for both 1776 and Westrum.

“As we see a shift in how and where people work, there is a natural synergy to providing a flexible workspace in a residential setting,” said Jennifer Maher, CEO of 1776.  “This location and partnership with Westrum allows us to be creative with our programming, services and offerings and be a gathering place for residents and the larger community.  This neighborhood is steeped with history and tradition and we look forward to helping nurture the next generation of business owners to live and grow in this community,” Maher concluded.

As the live, work, and play paradigm evolves, residential developers continuously looks for ways to add value and convenience to the tenant experience. “Our partnership with 1776 furthers the reimagination of the residential living space and expands the definition of an office,” said John Westrum, CEO of Westrum. “We are committed to bringing a unique mix of amenities to our tenants and Brewerytown residents at large.  This space truly creates a new hub of activity for residents.”

This location in Brewerytown will occupy more than 8,000 square feet of flexible workspace,  private offices, and conference rooms. The campus will be available to both 31 Brewerytown residents and to the local community for those entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking space.  Together, 1776 will bring their impactful programming and dynamic network to help drive results and growth for its member companies.

The Hub@31Brewerytown is the final phase of construction of more than 500 luxury residential units on 31st in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia. The historic significance of Brewerytown comes from its proximity to the Schuylkill River. Present day advantages are its reinvented retail and entertainment locations as well as its quick commute to Center City Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Art Museum, BoatHouse Row, and the Schuylkill River Trail.
