Washington, D.C. – Today, 1776 announced that Rachel Haot has joined its senior executive team as Managing Director, beginning January 4th, 2016. “1776 and our startup members will benefit enormously from Rachel’s deep knowledge and experience in the public sector at both state and local levels,” said Evan Burfield, 1776 Cofounder and Co-CEO. “Her accomplishments in civic innovation, combined with her startup experiences, make her an ideal fit for our leadership team.”
“The startups we work with are all focused on driving global scale, and navigating the governmental landscape is an increasingly critical factor to success,” continued Donna Harris, 1776 Cofounder and Co-CEO. “Rachel’s hands-on, insider expertise in how governments think and operate will give our members and portfolio companies a leg up on scaling.”
