The Challenge Cup ’15 is a worldwide startup tournament organised every year by 1776, a startup ecosystem and incubator based in Washington, D.C. The tournament is held across 45 cities for the most promising, world-changing startups to win cash prizes, make international connections and share their vision on a global stage. The tournament consists of 45 Local competitions, 9 Regional competitions and 1 Global Final. Out of every region, there are 5 Local city competitions and 1 Regional competition.
All of the regional winners and a host of wild cards will be invited to participate in the Challenge Cup Global Finals in June ’16 in Washington, D.C. There, they’ll compete for around $175,000 in cash and over $1 million in other prizes, as well as spend time with the investors, customers, media and other key connections that can help them succeed on a global scale.
For the first time, Casablanca will host the 1776 Challenge Cup on December, 10. The “Cluster Solaire” / “Climate Innovation Center Morocco” will organize the event with the collaboration of the World Bank.
