Washington, D.C., February 10, 2014 — 1776, a startup incubator platform based in Washington, D.C., today announced a partnership with accounting and consulting firm Aronson to assist D.C. startups in navigating all stages of the business cycle.
Aronson will hold regular office hours, host talks on critical business issues affecting startups and participate in key events throughout the year. Aronson has also announced it will connect 1776’s startups with its current clients to help cultivate mutually beneficial relationships between companies.
With an emphasis on government contracting and technology industries practices, Aronson brings a wealth of knowledge to 1776’s members, who focus on regulated industries, such as education, energy, health care and government. Through the partnership, 1776 members will receive support on the complexities of starting a business, developing scalable business models and building these businesses on strong foundations.
Since its opening in April 2013, 1776 has rapidly become the center of gravity for the DC startup community. The organization is housed in a historic D.C. building four blocks from the White House, where it offers collaborative work space, an events venue and mentorship programs for hundreds of startups.
“As a firm that has been practicing in this region for more than 50 years, we are excited by the opportunity to help usher new companies into the future,” said Jeffery P. Capron, Aronson’s Managing Partner. “There is an energy and entrepreneurial spirit in the DC business community that is unique, and we are proud to be a part of that. Aronson is a company with innovative ideas and we’re enthusiastic about being a part of this growing initiative.”
“At 1776, we are excited to offer members mentorship and support throughout the entire startup process. Partnering with Aronson will help our startups get the advice they need to create strong financial foundations for their businesses,” said Steve Graubart, CFO of 1776.
